DIY LMNT Dupe
DIY LMNT Dupe | Living in the desert presents unique hydration challenges. Persistent headaches and muscle cramps became frequent issues for me, pointing to dehydration. Finding a sugar free solution was important to me, and while I love the LMNT brand, it’s expensive. So, I decided to create my own DIY electrolyte mix, and I’m thrilled with the results and it’s super easy to make:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup salt: Rich in essential minerals
- 1/2 cup potassium chloride: For muscle function and hydration.
- 1 scoop magnesium malate: Supports muscle relaxation, recovery and overall well-being. Malate is a form of malic acid which can provide a boost of energy.
- 1 packet citrus: I love the black cherry, it’s my go to.
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the salt & potassium chloride
- Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Store the mixture in an airtight container for convenience.
Make your drink:
- Add 1 tsp of salt & potassium mixture (above) + 1 scoop (from jar) magnesium malate + 1 citrus packet to 40oz water with ice. (I use a 40 oz Stanley or Owalla)
- Mix/shake and enjoy!
